ONLINE COMPETITION

Due to the current COVID-19 situation we have postponed all of our competitions until further notice from the government.

We have created an online competition so kids (and parents) can have some fun and still receive great critiques & prizes. We will be running a competition with one genre for approximately two weeks. Approx each fortnight we will commence a new competition with a new genre and new adjudicator.

Our plan is to keep the kids happy and motivated, keep, our supplier, dance teachers and our adjudicators in work and help the industry survive through these tough times.

CATEGORIES

• Specially Restricted = Novice
• Restricted = Winners of a novice section
• Open = Won Rest

• STRAIGHT/SLOW TAP
• FAST/SPEED TAP
• VARIETY - WALTZ, ENSEMBLE ETC

• PROFESSIONAL VIDEO – Video recorded at any competition within the last 12 months
• HOME VIDEO– Your own video filmed in backyard, studio, home, park etc

• Multiple entries per section are permitted. Competitors can also compete in their category and any above. 

SECTIONS

• SOLO - Choreographed routine by your teacher
• DUO - Choreographed routine by your teacher
• STUDENT CHOREOGRAPHY - Own choreography
• ADJUDICATORS COMBO - Learn the combo that our adjudicator has choreographed. Once you have learnt the routine, upload the video the same as all other sections. One combo, judged in each age group.
• CHAMPIONSHIP - Two dances required. Straight/Slow & Fast/Speed Tap. You may also use the adjudicators combo or student choreography for the championship. (repeats are allowed but only one report per dance). 

AGE

• Age as of the 13/6/2020
• 6/u, 8/u, 10/u, 12/u, 14/u & Open Age 

TIME LIMIT

• Approx 2.5min
• No editing, must be the entire performance from the start to the finish

• Anyone living in Australia & New Zealand

COST

• AUSTRALIA

• SOLO ENTRY FEE - $14.50 AUD

• DUO ENTRY FEE - $25.00 AUD
• CHAMPIONSHIP - $32.00 AUD
• POSTAGE - $10.00 (1-4 sections) or $15.00 (5 & above sections) if you want to receive your prize. If you're not placed you will still receive a prize if you pay for postage.

ADJUDICATION

• Date to be announced. Lauren will go live on Facebook with the awards for each section. (Date and time tbc). After adjudication, awards will be posted.

Please ensure you select the section the section you wish to enter and your video category. You may enter both categories.

ENTRIES CLOSE

• 4th July 2020 (all videos must be uploaded by 10th July 2020)

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

• Once your payment has been processed you will be sent a link to upload your video to our dropbox folder.
• The adjudicator will then critique your entry, we will then send you a copy of the critique via email.
• On the set date, Lauren will live stream the awards via our Facebook.
• Prizes will then be posted (if you selected and paid for this option)
