CAITLIN WATSON

Caitlin Watson is a triple threat performer, who lives between Sydney and the US.


She started her dance training at age 3, in ballet, jazz and tap, and eventually expanded into the genres of musical theatre/broadway, hip hop and lyrical/contemporary. Her passion for Musical Theatre was ignited when at age 11, she made it to the final 5 for the role of ‘Debbie’ in Billy Elliot The Musical and went on to be reserve for the show. She performed in Wayne Kermond’s, Candyman The Musical. Caitlin was a student at Brent Street Academy, and then went on to complete her Certificate IV in Dance at Brent Street where she honed her triple threat skills: dancing, singing and acting. During her time at Brent Street, she performed at various corporate gigs, in the ‘Beat of Your Heart’ film clip for Christine Anu, at the AACTA awards and in the SYTYCD top 10 performance. She also danced in the film, ‘unINDIAN’, in a Bollywood style number. She most recently appeared in Birdie Productions, ‘The Little Mermaid’, as the role of Atina.


She has qualifications in tap and hip hop, attained through the BDA (British Dancing Association), and also holds a Certificate III & IV in Fitness and a Certificate III in Live Production, Theatre and Events. 


As well as teaching at various schools across Sydney, & the Central Coast, she co-owned her own studio with her sister Lauren for 5 years, & had her major dance composition choreography featured in the Board of Studies ‘Callback’ dance showcase in 2014.
